USAAF B-1 Mechanic Apron in 40's Cotton Canvas

This is a work apron adopted by the United States Army Air Forces. It has a stamp remaining from its original issue. The item is a government supply from 1942.

Made of cotton canvas, the edges are protected with cotton ribbon. The belt is a thin cotton belt with a width of 2.6 cm. It crosses at the back and is tied through eyelets at the waist. The straps are 57 cm + 62 cm on one side (sewn in a doubled manner to allow passing through the eyelet). The width at the top is 27 cm, and at the bottom, it is 48 cm.

The chest pocket has three mini dot button closures. The openings measure 8 cm, 9 cm, and 7.5 cm, with a depth of approximately 6 cm.

The lower pockets are divided into three sections. The right side has four pockets with depths ranging from 14 to 19 cm, while the left side has six pockets with depths ranging from 7 to 13 cm. There is a 15.5 cm slit in the middle from the bottom.

Although it is unused, there may be signs of damage, dirt, or color changes due to folding.
