Traditionally used to hold powdered tobacco for medicinal purposes, this carved snuff bottle with 100% intact scoop is now a form of decorative art. One side is etched with a beautiful woman in a soft long dress, her long hair tied with ribbon, standing in a garden of flowers and palms. The other sideโฆwell, Iโm not sure what that is! Guesses anyone? Whatever it is, butterflies are in abundance. ๐This bottle is carved from either bone or ivory. There could be a faint signature on the bottom; hard to tell. It is at least vintage, perhaps older, and highly collectible. It is original in condition and 100% intact. No chips, cracks, or breaks. This made from an organic object so any perceived imperfections are natural to the material. Smoke-free and pet-free home.
