Pinguicula gigantea x emarginata

Pinguicula emarginata x gigantea. This hybrid is very easy to grow as it combines two species that *tolerate lower light* than most Pinguicula and tolerate sitting in water. This hybrid does not go fully dormant and does not form a ‘winter rosette’, although the winter leaves may be smaller and more succulent than the rest of the year. Grows fairly fast. The plant listed is already about 3” across and near flowering size.

Care:

Light: medium to high (tolerates both bright indirect light and direct sun/growlights)

Water: sit a shallow dish of water

Soil: 50% peat 50% perlite or 50% Sphagnum moss and 50% perlite

Temperature: 55F to 90F (tropical)

Fertilizer: Catches small bugs (gnats, fruit flies ect.) or spray leaves with 1/4 tsp of Max Sea liquid fertilizer per gallon.

Humidity: Tolerates standard household humidity.
