Such a lovely feminine design with pale blue stones and enamel flowers, in an intricately domed pattern
Little Nemo Brooch in Pastel- Probably the company's best known & loved design, seen both with & without enameling on the florals, in this case, with! Rarely seen with pastel rhinestones or ultraviolet light reactive uranium glass stones! Potmetal with a pewtery finish. Brooch measures 2.25” across and is 2” long. Stamped L/N for Little Nemo
The jewelry was manufactured by Brier Manufacturing, located in Providence, RI, founded by Benjamin Brier & Sam Magid in 1913. The name "Little Nemo" came from a popular comic strip character of the time. The company became the 2nd largest jewelry manufacturer in the US, with only Coro being larger. While they manufactured their own lines under L/N and Little Nemo they also manufactured for other companies such as Helena Rubenstein, Revlon, and Walt Disney.
