Permatex PermaShield Fuel Resistant Gasket Dressing & Flange Sealant

Permatex PermaShield Fuel Resistant Gasket Sealant and Flange Sealant is a non-setting and non-hardening gel sealant designed for use with all pre-cut gaskets, including head gaskets and as a sealant for machined flanges. The product has a temperature range of -60°F to 500°F(-50°C to 260°C), is non-running and resists automotive fluids including all industrial fuels, oils, water/glycol mixtures, petroleum and synthetic lubricating oils, gasoline, diesel fuels, gasoline/alcohol mixtures and fluorocarbon refrigerants.

Permatex PermaShield Fuel Resistant Gasket Dressing and Flange Dressing can be used to seal machined joint faces and threaded parts. PermaShield exhibits excellent adhesive properties making the product acceptable for high performance applications.

Permatex PermaShield may be used as a gasket sealant or as a gasket-maker for machined flanges.

Directions:

• Clean and dry surfaces.
• Apply thin film or bead to both surfaces.
• Allow ample drying time to completely evaporate solvent.
• Assemble and torque to manufacturer’s specifications. Seals instantly. Replace cap after use. Store below 100°F (38°C).

Axle assemblies, hydraulic parts, differential covers, fuel injectors and pumps, oil pans (cast), head gaskets, water pumps, bearing caps/brackets, gearboxes, hydraulic drives/motors, torque converters, timing cases, inlet manifolds, valves, etc.

General Information:

This product is not recommended for use in pure oxygen and/or oxygen rich systems and should not be selected as a sealant for chlorine or other strong oxidizing materials.
