I am extremely excited about this piece. This is a signed Miguel Melendez grape/leaf brooch, but it has a massively oversized leaf, which is awesome. Mr. Melendez joined Los Castillo in 1940, he also worked with Margot De Taxco. I believe this piece is pre-eagle. The distinct feature of this brooch is the oversized leaf. I do have some grape/leaf Brooches and Earrings, but nothing compares to this! This piece weights 16.3 grams.
