I found this little snuff box at the DC Flea Market, and I just loved it. The length is just over 1.5, and the width is 1", weight 20.6 grams. There is a maker's mark (I think it's Charles Thomae - but I can't be sure), although I can't make it out. The piece is marked Sterling, and it's solid. My understanding is snuff boxes used to have gold linings. If so, this one is in excellent condition. The piece is Monogrammed with delicate filigree and initials, but I can't make them out. I would say this piece is probably later 1920's.
