Antique Vintage yellow bowl has thin white & blue stripes with decorative molded detail & I believe the number 9 stamped on the bottom as shown but could be 5. The decorative collar & molded detail make it very similar to RRP yellowware, however the hexagonal base is believe to be made by McCoy. Either way, the bowl is nice. It is approx 9” at top x 5 1/2” tall one little Nick as shown some stains/fading on inside & outside. Review all photos zoom in. A must have for any collector of vintage yellow ware bowl memorabilia or you may have other sizes of this bowl & need or want this one. Yellowware is a type of earthenware pottery that was first produced in England & Scotland in the mid-to-late 1700s & became popular in the United States in the 19th & early 20th centuries. This style of bowl often features a ribbed & paneled design with a colored band around the middle.
The blue banding on yellowware bowls was common from the mid-1800s to the early 1900s.
